MANTECH PC-BOD, Automated BOD Systems Include Piston Syringe Capability
(MANTECH INC., Guelph ON, CAN) – MANTECH INC., a manufacturer of laboratory equipment, has added piston syringe pump capability to its line of PC-BOD, automated BOD systems. The piston syringe drives, also called burets, may be used for automated seed and/or inhibitor addition during BOD bottle preparation. These burets have been used in MANTECH’s titration and multi-parameter systems for over 5 years. More than 1000 MANTECH burets are currently employed everyday in laboratories around the world. At 48,000 steps, the MANTECH piston syringe offers the highest stepper motor in the industry. This will deliver down to 0.2uL when using a 10mL syringe, the lowest injection resolution for automated seed and/or inhibitor addition for commercially available automated BOD systems. Environmental laboratories now have the choice of using MANTECH’s peristaltic pumps, dosing pumps or piston syringe pumps for automated seed and inhibitor addition.
